Terms of Use
CITO Tax Resolution, LLC
Effective date: October 19, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to citotax.com, score.citotax.com, our online assessments, newsletter, and other online content (together, the “Site”), operated by CITO Tax Resolution, LLC (“CITO,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
1. General information, not advice
The content on the Site, including articles, guides, FAQs, videos, podcasts, and newsletters, is general information about tax issues. It is not tax, legal, or financial advice for your situation. Tax rules change and every case is different. Don’t act or decide not to act based only on what you read here. Talk with a qualified professional about your specific facts.
2. No client relationship until we both sign
Using the Site, taking an assessment, booking a call, or sending us information does not make you a CITO client. A client relationship begins only when you and CITO both sign a written engagement agreement. That agreement, not these terms, sets out the services, fees, and responsibilities for your case.
3. Assessment results
Our online assessments give a general picture based only on the answers you provide. Results are not a diagnosis of your tax situation, a determination of what you owe, or a prediction of what the IRS will do. A full review of your IRS records is needed before anyone can recommend a specific path.
4. No guaranteed outcomes
The IRS and state tax agencies make the final decisions on every case. No one can guarantee that a tax debt will be reduced, that penalties will be removed, that an Offer in Compromise or innocent spouse request will be accepted, or how long a case will take. Any client stories, timelines, or statistics on the Site describe past results or typical patterns. They do not promise the same result for you. Results vary based on your facts.
5. Who represents you before the IRS
Representation before the IRS is provided only by professionals authorized to practice under IRS Circular 230: Enrolled Agents, CPAs, and attorneys who work with CITO. Some are independent contractors. The professional handling your case will be named on your IRS Form 2848 power of attorney.
6. Communications and text messages
By giving us your contact information, you agree that we may contact you by email and phone about your inquiry. If you separately agree to receive text messages, we may send texts about your assessment, appointments, your case, and tax updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not required to use our services. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
7. Using the Site
You agree not to:
- Submit false information, or information about another person without their permission.
- Try to access parts of the Site, our client portal, or our systems you’re not authorized to use.
- Upload viruses or harmful code, or interfere with the Site’s operation.

8. Intellectual property

CITO TAX® is a registered trademark of Fabian Paul Cruz, used with permission. You may view and share Site pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use needs our written permission.
9. Third-party sites and tools
The Site links to and uses outside services, including IRS.gov, our assessment platform, our scheduling tool, and our client portal. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Their own terms apply.
10. Disclaimer
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site, including that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or error free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, CITO and its owners, team members, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to $100. This section does not limit any duties we owe clients under a signed engagement agreement.
12. Indemnification
You agree to hold CITO harmless and defend it from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the new terms.
